Abstract

The development of digital media has influenced the interaction patterns and lifestyle formation of Generation Z. This study aims to analyze healthy lifestyle trends among Generation Z from the perspectives of personal awareness and social phenomena, as well as to identify the influence of social media and influencers on the formation of healthy behaviors. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects are Generation Z individuals aged 17–26 who actively use social media and follow healthy lifestyle trends. Data collection techniques involved observing digital activities. The results indicate that dominant healthy lifestyle trends include physical activity, healthy eating habits, and mental health. Most respondents adopt a healthy lifestyle based on internal motivation, although the influence of social media and influencers serves as an initial trigger. Social media has proven capable of shaping health awareness; however, the sustainability of healthy behaviors is more influenced by the urge to follow the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) trend. This study indicates a transition from trend-following behavior toward a sustainable healthy lifestyle among Generation Z in the digital era.
