Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic position of women in the structure of student organizations and the social interactions of female students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Semarang State University. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach supported by literature review. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires to female students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Semarang State University, while secondary data were obtained from journals, books, and articles related to gender studies and student organizations. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques with frequency and percentage presentation. The results show that female students still face structural barriers in the form of gender stereotypes in student organizations but remain active in building social networks and utilizing discussion spaces to strengthen their position. This indicates an effort to gradually reconstruct the role of women in the academic space. This research is expected to contribute to the development of gender studies and encourage the creation of a more inclusive and gender-equitable campus environment.
