Efektivitas Literasi Digital dalam Menyaring Informasi Hoaks yang Berkaitan dengan Isu Kebangsaan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy on students' awareness in filtering hoaxes circulating in digital media related to national issues. The study employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through literature review and student interviews as informants. This research was motivated by the widespread dissemination of hoaxes in digital media, which can influence students' mindsets and national attitudes. The results indicate that a high level of digital literacy plays a crucial role in improving students' ability to identify, analyze, and selectively view news and verify information circulating in digital media. Students with high digital literacy tend to be more critical and less easily influenced by invalid information, particularly regarding national issues. Therefore, improving digital literacy is crucial for developing students' critical attitudes toward information, particularly regarding national issues in the current digital era.
